Today will be a very important day for Germans biology research instituts. The parliament will discuss today possible changes in law, which regulates the stem cell research in Germany. Today the bio research instituts in Germany can only use stem cells produced before January 1st of 2002. This limitation pushes more and more pressure to the instituts and universities, because other nations can already use new stem cell cultures and have threrefore key benefits in this research area. Hopefully the parliament will really view behind all this and makes a responsible decision so that the Germany scientists can catch up with other nations and do effective research also here in Germany.
Everybody at the parliament should also think about possible own diseases, which maybe curable in future based on results of the stem cell research.
